I drive about ten to 20 miles from my home in Granbury to Cleaburn to attented Hill County Community College. On that drive I usually have NPR blaring on the radio. I find I enjoy listening to public radio shows more as I get older then I used to. Granted, I’m all of 32 now, but the principle is sound. I’m also suffering from some uncomfortable congestion and allergies lately.

I have been working on migrating Darkscribes and I achived what could be called good progress this morning. I was able to pull in all data for users and for the story front pages. This is good. However there is a problem. None of the stories mapped to the proper user. A lot of crap html needs to be filtered out. A lot of text encoding problems popped up as well. These are all issues I need to solve and I will try to solve them. But just getting all that crap in without issue is a step in the right direction. Probably need a function to shove the string values through the strip out the crap and replace the punctuation that’s being corrupted.

Came up with a story idea that would have Religion and science pitted against each other for a while. It’s an interesting thought that I will be developing on a bit at a time. Eventually I hope to have enough of these shorts to put together a kindle book or something similar of some kind. I hope folk enjoy it.

Caught this on Youtube this morning. Your Film Festival is an event being put on by YouTube.com and Emirates airline where the winner gets $500,000USD to get their film produced with Ridley Scott. If I were a film maker and not a writer I would be all over this. Ridley Scott being one of the great film makers of the time, that alone would be worth the shot of working this sort of film. I unfortunately am not capable of actually filming stuff. So I’ll just post this here for you guys who might be interested.

NPR was discussing energy policy today. I got to wonder if the problem isn’t that we just haven’t found that Necessity that would be the mother of invention to solve the problem. I just don’t know, but would support more renewable energy projects including solar farms in unpopulated areas. Texas has a LOT of those areas.

I also wanted to post a youtube this morning so I found the month old Colbert Mitt Romney attack ad.

I loved this one.

The man is also working on several original projects, like myself, and has actually published some of them through Amazon.com and other outlets. I encourage everyone to go look at his stuff and support another talented author in anyway they can.
